Gudetama is a raw egg yolk. He has an atypical lazy, unmotivated, and depressive personality.

He just wants to lie on his bed(the transparent part of the egg) and drink his favorite soy sauce.

Gudetama (ぐでたま) means " lazy egg" in Japanese, the latest cartoon character to join the Sanrio family(2013). 

Its designer Nagashima Emi (永嶋瑛美) took inspiration from today's young people - the millennial generation without too much energy or expectation, and don't want to do anything.
